January and February LW Updates

While we saw a jump in our year-over-year in January, February seems to have taken us a step back at Logistics Worldwide. However, it appears this is true for the logistics industry, not just our company. According to Jennifer Smith at the Wall Street Journal, “U.S. domestic shipping demand rose 12.5% year-over-year in January,” while February took a decline in comparison to January.

Shipping costs seem to be rising as carriers adjust to the new ELD mandates and the fluctuating gas prices. Unfortunately, these rising prices don’t seem to be stabilizing anytime soon. The good news is that truck orders are up, which is an indication that the logistics market is on the rise. At Logistics Worldwide, we will continue to strive to find the best rates for our customers, but our best rates could still seem high compared to shipments done in the past.

However, we will not let this deter us from providing the best customer service possible for our customers as we continue to find ways to save them time and money on all their freight needs!
